Single and double din aftermarket radio installation kits for the well-established 2004-2009 Prius are now available. Both the 99-8240B (Single Din) and the 95-8240B (Double Din) are painted a scratch resistant matte black to match the OE bezel surrounding the radio. Upgrading the basic AM/FM CD player is a cinch using Metra’s installation kits along with Metra’s wire harness 70-1761 for factory non amplified systems. If the Prius has the factory amplified audio system, use the TYTO-01 (instead of 70-1761) from Axxess Interfaces to integrate the factory amplifier. Metra knows it’s not always about the new model cars, when there’s still plenty of green out there in the used car market.
