Metra Electronics Debuts New Dash Kits and DIN Pockets at SEMA

The Metra TurboKit Product Line Expands to Cover Even More Vehicle Applications
Holly Hill, FL - October 2017 – Metra Electronics, known as The Installer’s Choice® for radio dash kits and aftermarket mobile electronics, will offer new kits to cover even more vehicle applications. New kits and DIN pockets for select models by Mercedes-Benz, Lincoln, Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Fiat, Hyundai, Honda, Kia, Subaru, and Toyota will be on display. Multi-application DIN pockets and an all new dash kit designed for the Polaris Slingshot 2015 - up* will also debut at the show. In total, 25 new or improved dash kits and DIN pockets will be on display at the 2017 SEMA Show at booth #11639 in the North Hall. Booth #35227 in the South Hall will have Metra’s off-road, powersports and truck accessories. The SEMA Show takes place in Las Vegas from October 31 - November 3.
A new kit for the Polaris Slingshot 2015 - up* features a retractable, smoke-tinted splash guard and is designed specifically for Double-DIN installations. The 99-9721 has custom textured trim to match the factory finish and painted scratch-resistant matte black. A radio wire harness and two speaker harness solutions are also available from Metra Electronics, sold separately.
Metra’s “Perfect Fit Dash Kit” will now be available for even more vehicle applications. Two new options for Chevrolet Equinox 2018 - up* models are being introduced, the 95-3022B, designed specifically for Double-DIN installations, and the 99-3022B, which includes a pocket for Single-DIN installations. Fiat 500 2016 - up* models will have a Double-DIN installation kit, the 95-6544B, or a Single-DIN with pocket kit, the 99-6544B. For Kia Amanti 2004 - 2006 models, the 95-7319 is designed for the installation of Double-DIN radios to complement the existing Single-DIN kit 99-7379.
The 95-6506B is a new kit for Double-DIN installations for Chrysler Pacifica 2004 - 2008 models. For Toyota Prius 2016 - up* models, the 95-8246HG is designed for Single-DIN radios and the 99-8264HG for Double-DIN radio installations. Both are painted high gloss black. For Toyota CH-R 2018 - up* models, the 95-8265HG is designed for Double-DIN radios and the 99-8265HG is for Single-DIN radio installations. Both are painted high gloss black to match the factory finish.
The 99-7819 is for Honda Pilot 2006 - 2008 models with factory navigation, designed for both Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations. It includes an upper trim panel and is painted scratch-resistant matte black. For Hyundai Elantra GT 2013 - 2015 models with navigation, the 99-7379HG has a pocket included for Single-DIN installations and is painted high gloss black to match the factory finish. For newer Hyundai Elantra GT 2016 - 2017 models with navigation, the 99-7380HG includes a pocket for Single-DIN installations and is also painted high gloss black. For the Subaru Impreza 2017 and up* and 2017 Subaru Crosstrek models, the 95-8908HG is designed for Double-DIN radios and the 99-8908HG is for Single-DIN radio installations. Both are painted high gloss black to match the factory finish.
For Lincoln Navigator 2008-2012 and Mercedes-Benz ML and CLK models, Metra is introducing four new dash kits. The 95-5844S is for Lincoln Navigator 2008-2012 4x2 model and the 95-5845S is for the 4x4 model. Both are designed specifically for the installation of Double-DIN radios and painted silver to match the factory finish. The 99-8723B is for Mercedes-Benz ML 2006 - 2011 models and the 99-8724B is for Mercedes-Benz CLK 2005 - 2009 models. Both kits are designed for Single-DIN or Double-DIN radio installations and painted scratch-resistant matte black.
New and Improved Designs
An updated design for the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda Multi-Kit for 1995 - 2011 models, the 99-5600, has improved strength for support and no longer has the old, 1/2 DIN EQ opening. An improved design is also being released for the 95-6511, which is a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Multi-Kit for 2007 - up* models. The new design allows for a better fit of standard Double-DIN radios and includes secondary parts for short-nosed radio faces. For Toyota 4Runner 2003 - 2009 Limited models without navigation, the 95-8210 kit will have a new and improved design to better accommodate modern, Double-DIN radios, with factory brackets no longer needed.
Multi-Application DIN Pocket Kits
Metra Electronics is offering two new multi-application DIN pocket kits for Toyota, Nissan, Subaru and Mitsubishi models from 1982 - 2008*. The 88-00-9006 includes four trim plates and one pocket for multiple applications. The 88-00-9007 includes four trim plates and one pocket with a USB charging adapter.
