Exclusive STOP/START Override Interface Now Shipping from Axxess

Metra Electronics® is now shipping a new product designed to automatically disengage the STOP/START engine feature on vehicles, featuring patent-pending and exclusive interface technology. This interface, the AX-SSO, is now available, along with vehicle-specific harnesses for select Ford vehicles. A solution for select Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles is coming soon and Axxess will be expanding the AX-SSO product line to work with additional vehicle applications.
Having the engine turn off when stopped may be bothersome to some people, especially if it causes the air conditioning or heat to turn off at a long traffic light during the summer or winter months. Now installers can offer drivers the option to override or re-engage this feature automatically, whether they have a factory or aftermarket radio installed. The vehicle type is configured through Axxess Updater PC software and a simple four-wire installation is done at the radio location.
