Install a new car radio faster with this factory amplifier
bypass harness, which plugs directly into the vehicle's connectors and powers
the radio. On one side, the wiring harness is color-coded, with wires you'll
connect or solder to the aftermarket radio/receiver. The other side has a
vehicle-specific adapter that connects directly to the original radio
connectors for a quicker installation without cutting each wire.
Keep in mind that you may need additional parts to complete
your installation, including a dash kit, antenna adapter, and, depending on
your vehicle, a special interface adapter to retain audio controls on your
steering wheel or other essential vehicle functions like navigation, video, and
more. Look up your vehicle for more information.
Visit our Vehicle Fit Guide for up-to-date vehicle-specific
applications.
NOTE: In 2004, Dodge offered two different
amplifiers for different trim packages. The 70-6512 harness is designed for the
SRT10 trim package without the hands-free capable option. The way to tell if
the vehicle has a hands-free option is to look at the rear-view mirror and see
if there is an icon of a telephone. If there is no icon, this harness will
work. For the SRT-10 trim package with the hands-free-capable option, and
for the 2004 Dodge Ram non-SRT trim packages, please refer to the 70-6510
amplifier bypass harness.
